As Ruby on Rails agency, we know that our framework of choice might have drawbacks. But it doesn’t make it less powerful and efficient. However, let’s be brave enough and face the truth by making a real SWOT analysis of Ruby on Rails!
If you used to see SWOT analysis for projects and companies, here’s the time you can try to apply it to a framework! That will be fair.
In theory, SWOT analysis describes:
Strengths — what are the strong points that give an advantage?
Weaknesses — what are the weak points comparing to others?
Opportunities — which elements of the environment can be exploited to its advantage?
Threats — which elements of the environment can cause trouble?
In his original article, Krzysztof Kempiński described strong and weak points for RoR along with its opportunities and threats. You could have read some of the benefits of Ruby on Rails in our article. But it’s really interesting to explore the opportunities for our favorite framework!
