The 5th edition of Mobiconf organized by Miquido took place on Oct 4-5. This year, the event attracted over 550 participants: software developers, designers, product managers, etc. It also gathered some world-renowned speakers, e.g. Paul Hudson or John Sundell, as well as the representatives of highly remarkable brands, like Google, Abbey Road Studios, Zalando, Spotify, Tinder, Shopify or IBM.
Inspiring insights on mobile development and design
Mobiconf is an international conference focused around four paths: mobile development on iOS and Android, UI/UX design and using mobile solutions for business purposes.
Practical knowledge was one of the most frequently mentioned values appreciated by the attendees. It involved not only highly informative talks but also effective networking and knowledge sharing during the coffee breaks.
Eight Top Speakers Awards
This year, the audience awarded eight Top Speakers. In the iOS category, the winner was Paul Hudson, with the note of 4,89 out of 5 points. Paul’s outcome gave him the title of the best Mobiconf speaker among all thematic paths. The iOS path award also went to Tobias Due Munk, who got a similar rating – 4,79 points.
Two top talks on Android track were delivered by Marcos Placona (4,68 points) and Ivan Morgillo (4,47 points), who impressed the audience with their presentations.
On the UI/UX path, Temi Adeniyi (4,36) from Blinklist and Hash Riaz from Abbey Road Red owned the stage. In her talk, Temi stressed the importance of design intuition and empowering it with data-driven processes. Hash Riaz talked about the development and user-driven design of Topline application.
The winners of ‘Everything Mobile’ path were Michael Śliwiński from Nozbe (4,21) and Alexandra Petrus (4,16). The awarded presentations will be available soon on Mobiconf Youtube channel.
Nailing mobile applications
‘Mobiconf focuses on mobile technologies – each presentation is an occasion to learn something new. Both days of the conference are packed with talks full of tips, inspirations, and use cases’ – says one of Mobiconf attendees.
‘The topics and content of the talks are well-selected and insightful, which keeps me interested all the way through’ – adds another one.
The Mobiconf audience appreciates the deep-focus of talks’ content and a big dose of knowledge delivered on each thematic path.
