About the project

It is a new web project from a UK customer, providing environmentally friendly consumption for luxury brands. Future peer-to-peer marketplace makes rent of goods (like fashion, vintage and art) social and  reliable. That will carry out due to functionality of management  the entire logistics and customer financial data.

Project architecture

  • Ruby on Rails on the backend
  • React.js on the frontend
  • Next.js framework for server-side rendering
  • PostgreSQL as Database
  • Rspec for testing
  • Stripe for payments
  • AWS S3 for store images and video files
  • Redis & Sidekiq for background jobs and cache
  • ElasticSearch for data indexing

Team composition: 

2 RoR Engineers, 2 Frontend Developers, Designer, QA, PM.

Required skills and experience

  • 1-3 years of experience (web and mobile products on Desktop and Mobile devices)
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing
  • Experience producing key test assets (requirements gathering, test cases creation, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
  • Knowledge of common debugging
  • Understanding of QA processes, techniques, approaches, methodologies
  • SDLC knowledge
  • Understanding of Rest API
  • At least, Intermediate level of English

Zones of responsibility 

  • Requirements analysis and processing
  • Creation of test plans and checklists
  • Creation of test cases and bug reports
  • Perform testing activities on 1-2 web-based projects on Desktop and Mobile devices
  • Communicate with the team and the customer
  • Defect reporting

Conditions

  • 2 steps to become a Syndicoder: HR interview, Professional interview
  • A trial period is two months
  • The working schedule is flexible. You can work remotely or full remote
  • Fifteen vacation days, excluding holidays and weekends
