Byebug debugger for Ruby 2 is simple to use and feature rich. It uses the TracePoint API for execution control and the Debug Inspector API for call stack navigation, so it doesn’t depend on internal core sources. It’s developed as a C extension, so it’s fast. And it has a full test suite so it’s reliable.
Look what we’ve found! This is the results of 2018 Ruby on Rails Developer Community Survey! Over 2,000 members of the Rails community kindly contributed their thoughts on tools, frameworks, and workflows in their day to day development lives. Even if you could say that the number of respondents is not representative, still, from these responses we hope to get an understanding of where the Rails community is as a whole in 2018. Enjoy!
