On May 18, Hilton Kyiv Hotel and COIN Restaurant hosted the NEXT BLOCK Conference, an event dedicated to the blockchain technology, crypto-currencies and ICO. More than 500 guests were amongst the first who witnessed presentations of promising startups, the first blockchain-based community label to name a few. The event was highlighted with a VIP party featuring the headliners of the conference.

The debut event by Krypton Events brought together foreign experts who had never before performed in Ukraine. The list of headliners was made up of BTCC Co-founder, Bitcoin Foundation Board member Bobby Lee; VentureBeat Analyst-at-large Stuart Rogers, and Simon Cocking, an expert whose name is included in three lists of world leaders of the blockchain/fintech industry.

The main mistakes of newcomers crypto investors are: too much thinking and not doing; be afraid to invest; invest in the asset and immediately sell it, being settled for small gain, – Bobby Lee, BTTC Co-founder.

Challenges of Initial Coin Offering were discussed by HighCastle Group Co-Founder and Vice President Ulyana Shtybel; Distributed Lab Co-founder Pavel Kravchenko; CryptoCoinNews Editor in Chief Simon Cocking and TaaS Fund Co-Founder and Managing Partner Dmitry Chupryna.

Simplifying PR for ICOs and Blockchain Ventures became a talking point of launch strategist and ICO campaigner Itay Adam; Hop Online founder & CEO Paris Childress; Blonde 2.0 PR Agency Co-CEO Motti Peer and Head of Content and intelligence at Finance Magnates Michael Pearl. Stewart Rogers, VentureBeat analyst, moderated the discussion.

Don’t be greedy, don’t oversell while promoting an ICO. Don’t lie or mislead. Organic is the best way, – Nimrod May, CMO at Sirin Labs.

Nir Porat & Co Law Firm Associate Avia Arika; Sayenko Kharenko Managing Partner Michael Kharenko; Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Dmitro Shimkiv and one of the authors of the Belarus Decree on Digital Economy Development Dmitry Matveev, delivered their speeches on cryptocurrency and ICO’s regulation.

Regulation improves market stability and industry’s reputation. It shuts the bad actors out and means a growth in the cryptocurrency market over time. Eventually, regulation is inevitable, – Aviya Arika, attorney, expert on Blockchain and digital currencies.

The business panel featured C-level executives, blockchain-based startup CEOs and founders and providers of cryptocurrencies in national markets as well. They focused on decentralized technologies and their application in the real world.

The first music label on the blockchain

A special conference’s guest was the music consultant and executive producer Don Grierson, best known for receiving the Golden Apple Award from The Beatles and signing Celine Dion to her first US recording contract.

Mr. Grierson presented the first community label on the blockchain, Younk. The project allows hit-hunters to discover new music and support production of upcoming hits, which opens up a direct road to the market for musicians with no need to ink a deal with monopoly labels. The presentation of Younk was held as part of Quickfire Pitches, a 5-minute idea pitches from the main big stage by selected startups.

The main crypto party 2018

The conference’s day ended with a fabulous VIP Party featuring DJ, barmen show, and dance performances. The guests were admired by unforgettable vocal of Yana Brilitskaya, “Voice of Ukraine” contest’s finalist.

At Krypton Events we are honored to have received trust and support both from the world’s best experts and the NEXT BLOCK participants. It makes us happy to have gotten flattering feedbacks about the conference and the after-party we did jointly with Fashion TV. All together it motivates and empowers us to do more of the premium events in future and prepare more and more pleasant surprises for our guests, – Alisa Berezutska, CEO Krypton Events.

NEXT BLOCK organizers sincerely grateful to the participants, sponsors and media representatives covered the event. For the latest Krypton Events’ conferences and news visit the website kryptonevents.com and follow its Facebook and LinkedIn page.
